Author Qualifications
Content development is founded on evidence-based information using a comprehensive editorial review process. Content developers are healthcare practitioners and writers who are knowledgeable, degreed, licensed and/or certified in their areas of expertise. Content developers are expected to present balanced, unbiased perspectives without influence from commercial interests.
Registered nurse, allied health, and other healthcare practitioners must have a valid license, be free from any disciplinary action, and be knowledgeable, current, and skilled in the subject matter. Knowledge and/or skill may be demonstrated by a baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university and experience in the subject matter.
Knowledge may also be demonstrated by recent experience teaching the subject matter or at least one year's experience within the last two years in the area of expertise. Non-nurse/non-medical instructors must be degreed, licensed, or certified in their area of expertise and/or provide evidence of specialized training in the subject area and/or recent work experience in the area of expertise. |
